An authentic Indian restaurant, Bombay Dreams tries to bring traditional Indian cuisine to Hong Kong through fine dining. Apart from their buffet, they also have an extensive a la carte menu available for both lunch and dinner.
Bombay Dreams is special, only offering their buffet during lunch and not dinner. For those that cannot make the weekday lunch buffet due to work or school, they also offer a similar buffet option on weekends. With impeccable presentation, attentive service and perfectly spiced dishes, Bombay Dreams will satisfy any Indian cuisine cravings.
Intercontinental Hotel – Harbourside
Perched directly at the harbour's edge, Harbourside offers casual all-day dining with both a la carte and buffet options, showcasing an elaborate selection of international dishes. Harbourside is acclaimed for its elaborate buffets, with chefs presenting a tempting array of Western and Asian dishes, a roast carving station with prime cuts of beef, action stations and decadent homemade desserts.
Cafe Too
To put it simply, this is the best buffet in town. The seven live cooking stations provide as much entertainment as they do great food, and can cook up just about any sort of dish you can imagine. The menu here runs from fresh sushi and rice dishes to curries and pizzas, all expertly executed. The bright and spacious interior makes Cafe Too a big hit with families and they occasionally roll out live entertainment at weekends. You need to book at least a week in advance.
Jumbo
If you are going to Jumbo in Aberdeen, you are going for the experience, not the food. This floating restaurant set in the bay is a long-standing tourist attraction. Although the food is not bad, you are paying for the views rather than cracking cooking.
But for a one-off experience, why not? The buffet is a mixture of standard Chinese and Asian dishes, with prime place given to seafood. If the sun is shining, their top deck al fresco seating really is unbeatable.
Grand Café
On the ground floor of the Grand Hyatt hotel in Admiralty is a newly renovated restaurant - Grand Cafe. Decorated in dark marble with discreet booths and free-standing islands, the Grand Cafe has transformed into a modern and sophisticated dining venue. The restaurant offers both an American breakfast buffet and an internationally authentic dinner buffet.
Post renovation, Grand Cafe’s dinner buffet features a much more open kitchen with several unique made to order dishes. Their made to order dishes include coconut green curry with Thai basil lobster, seafood rice soup, classic lobster cocktail and mozzerella tomato salad. The increase in number of made to order dishes allows Grand Cafe to preserve the freshness and flavor of their dishes. In addition, they also have a variety of foreign delicacies like foie gras and rich desserts. Be sure to make a reservation to guarantee a spot at their extravagant dinner buffet.
