Lost in 4 wild islands in Malaysia
Untouched beaches, world-class diving and enjoying your own deserted island are just three ways to describe the islands in Malaysia. If you are thinking about “beach holiday”, Malaysia is probably one of the countries that you cannot ignore.

  • Tioman Island

Tioman Island is in the South China Sea, off the east coast of Peninsula Malaysia. With see-through turquoise waters, this is a popular location for those interested in snorkeling, scuba diving or freediving.

If you are not into these activities, you can go golfing at the Tioman Island Golf Club, or just lounge and relax on any of the beaches on the island. On top of that, Tioman Island is also a duty-free zone. There are also several waterfall areas you can visit on the island. To experience the local culture, it is just a short trip to a traditional village on Juara Beach.

  • Layang Layang Island

If you have never heard of Layang Layang Island, maybe you might know the island by its other (unofficial) name: Swallow Reef Island. It is actually a man-made island constructed by the Malaysian Navy but was later developed to make way for a dive resort.

If you are a diving enthusiast, here is another destination that you will enjoy. But if diving is not really your hobby, you can also engage in bird watching, a very popular activity to do here. Besides, it is especially famous for sightings of whale sharks and groups of hammerhead sharks.

  • Pangkor

Most locals have made the trip to Pulau Pangkor in their lifetime. The name means “beautiful island” and it is definitely one of the best places to sit back and relax with a scenic view. There are plenty of gorgeous beaches on this island that you can visit, including Nipah Bay, Pasir Bogak and Coral Bay.

Further inland, you can also sightsee at the Kali Amman temple, the Foo Lin Kong Chinese Temple, and also the remnants of a Dutch fort that protects a historic rock called Tiger Rock. There is plenty of recreational activities to indulge in so you can never really get bored. If you are up for a more luxurious stay, you can always pay a visit to an adjacent island call Pangkor Laut instead.

  • Langkawi

    LangkawiLangkawi

Langkawi is one of the most beautiful islands on the west side of the peninsula. The island is easily accessible, which makes it an ideal destination for the people who are looking for peace and quiet and the nature lovers. The best way to explore the island is by renting a car or motorcycle. There are numerous great attractions on the island, which are enough to keep you busy for many days.
