Banh Xeo Gao Lut


Anyone who has ever visited Quang Binh can't forget the impressive taste of Banh Xeo Gao Lut from Quang Hoa. This dish is made of rice flour, Quang Hoa crepe includes snakeheads, salad, raw vegetables and fish sauce.
Taking a piece of the crepe on your hand, the heat and the aroma of the food will definitely attract your taste.
Banh Bot Loc (Shrimp and pork dumplings)


Loc cake comes from Hue, Dong Ha and then spreads to Quang Binh. In Quang Binh, it is added new flavors and become a special dish of this province. This cake is covered in banana leaves. Its stuffing is shrimps and braised pork. Using with chili sauce will bring a stunning flavour in your mouth.
The ingredients are very simple including cassava powder, river shrimps, mushrooms and some spices only from the local garden which is why its flavour is different from others. Many visitors come Quang Binh and try it, then buy it as a gift for their friends.
Khoai Deo (soft sweet potatoes)


Quang Binh is an ideal land for growing a special variety of sweet potatoes. The locals call them “khoai deo”. After being harvested, the sweet potatoes are put aside, then peeled and thinly sliced. Khoai deo is dried under sun, crunchy, chewy and sweet. Visitors often buy it as a gift.
Chao Canh (Porridge soup)


Chao Canh is one of the most special foods in Quang Binh. The dish is the most favourite breakfast of the locals. The ingredients are quite familiar including snakehead fish, shrimps and pork.
When serving guests, porridge soup is sprinkled onions, cilantro and sliced fragrant. It is served with shredded green cabbage. In spite of the simple ingredients, the flavour is truly amazing.
Oyster soup


Quang Binh is well-known for various dishes made from oysters. Fresh oysters caught from Nhat Le river are processed into different dishes such as fried oysters clamped in rice papers, oyster sour soup, etc. It would be incomplete when visiting Phong Nha without enjoying oyster soup.
Chat Chat – Gianh river speciality


Similar to mussel, Chat Chat is special dish to many Quang Binh people. It can only be found in the Phu Hoa commune’s water area comprising of marine and freshwater. Chat Chat is most delicious when eaten with rice paper.
