Beautiful scenes
Ninh Binh has not only river, mountain, beach and wonderful scenery but also many amazing constructions. There are Bai Dinh pagoda which is one of the largest pagoda in Asia; Dinh King Temple and Le King Temple in Hoa Lu ancient capital; Trang An attracts thousands tourists each years from all around the world; Van Long Natural Reserve which appears in a famous film, King: Skull Island; Cuc Phuong National Park is home to a huge diversity of flora and fauna. Ninh Binh now is a must see attraction when you visit the north of Vietnam.
Convenient location
Ninh Binh is only 95 kilometers away from Ha Noi (about a 2-3-hour journey) and makes for a good first stop for those making their journey slowly from Ha Noi to Ho Chi Minh City in the south. You can even get here quite conveniently from Ha Long Bay. Catching overnight buses from Ninh Binh to other cities is pretty easy too, ask your hotel reception and they will help you out.
Tam Coc, Bich Dong and Thung Nang
One of the most popular tourist routes in Ninh Binh is likely to include the Tam Coc, Bich Dong and Thung Nang region. They are able to create a truly stunning landscape with limestone karst peaks that are perfectly complemented with a trip on a rowing boat. Alternatively, there is also the option to hire a bicycle and explore much of the local area by land with plenty of trails that pass the paddy fields.
A typical boat tour will take in the three caves which is less than Trang An, but gives greater opportunity to appreciate the local landscape. However, an alternative route can be taken in the Thung Nang area which includes two caves and a lotus farm.

Another reason why you should not plan to visit Ninh Binh is the food here is really delicious with mouth-watering dishes. Your wallet will be empty because there are many dishes which you want to try.
The must-try dishes here such as Mountain Goat meat, Com Chay Ninh Binh (Ninh Binh rice crust), Raw Nhech fish salad, Ninh Binh mountain snais, Ruou Can Nho Quan (Nho Quan wine drunk out of a jar through pipes), Nem chua Yen Mac ( Yen Mac Fermented Pork Roll), etc.
Hoa Lu ancient capital
The top historical attraction in Ninh Binh will likely include a trip to the Hoa Lu ancient capital, which dates to the 10th and 11th century and was once the heart of Vietnam. A local tour on the Vietnam travel will see travelers visiting several of the ancient temples and royal palaces.
Gothic church
A 40-minute drive from the town of Ninh Binh, Phat Diem church is the most beautiful one in Vietnam. It is built from stone and wood. Despite being a church worshipping a Western religion, the Phat Diem church is made with a heavy Vietnamese architectural influence. This is what makes the church so beautiful and interesting.
