Swimming


Halong, the World Natural Heritage Site, was blessed with calm and clear sea water. Therefore, there is no better way to experience wild nature of Halong Bay than swimming. Dipping in cool jade-green water of Halong Bay, tourists will feel free and relaxing. Moreover, Halong Bay is a safe place for swimming as the water is calm and tourists will be provided with life jackets. The sailors and staff of the ship always watch out for swimmers in case unfortunate incidents happened.
Kayaking


Halong Bay is considered as one of the most ideal places for kayaking in the world. Kayaking service is available with many imported kayaks. Each kayak boat can carry 2 people. It may be difficult to kayak at first but after being used to it, kayaking can escalate into a new level of excitement. The most suitable places to kayak are the Luon Cave, Three Peaches Island, Ba Ham Lake, Dau Be Island and Co Cave.
Cycling - Trekking


In order to enjoy quiet atmosphere and scenic settings on the beach, cycling and trekking will be a good suggestion for your trip in Halong Bay. Halong Bay and Cat Ba Island are ideal trekking and cycling destinations to explore the typical wild nature of Vietnam. Visitors can choose various trek routes to challenge themselves.
When trekking on the beach, tourists can freely enjoy warm white sands and gaze at stunning seascape of Halong. We suggest trekking in Ban Sen Island, Quan lan Island, Cat Ba Island and Titov Island. You can cycle in some fishing villages such as Viet Hai village, Cat Ba island or Tuan Chau island.
Scuba-Diving


For tourists who love diving, scuba-diving will be a suitable activity in Halong Bay. By scuba-diving, tourists will have the chance to witness the spectacular sights of underwater world of Halong by their eyes. Scuba diving has been recently opened in Halong Bay, making this place a must-see for underwater lovers. April to December is the most wonderful period for travellers to go scuba diving. The water temperature at this time is from 26-29 celsius degrees.
Caving


Halong was honored twice with the title "World Natural Heritage Site" by the UNESCO for its value of geology, geomorphology. Therefore, once coming to Halong Bay, visitors shouldn't miss the chance to explore grotto system there. With Karst terrain, Halong bay has many caves and islands. These caves are attractive destination in route visiting Halong Bay. Some famous caves are known extensively by tourists such as “Dau Go” cave, “Thien Cung” cave, “Sung Sot” cave… Magnificent masterpieces of the Creator will definitely dazzle all visitors by the magical world of stalactites and stalagmites in various sizes and shapes. Tourists also have a chance to dine in a cave and experience an exotic feeling of dining in spacious and romantic ambiance inside.
Rock Climbing


Halong Bay is one of the most majestic climbing areas of the world. Halong Bay is regarded as one of the most beautiful seascapes on the planet and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. The karsts of all different shapes and sizes were formed over 500 million years ago. There are over 3000 limestone islands in the Halong Bay region of Vietnam and we hardly scratched the surface in our two week quest to explore them. The area has several sport climbing routes and has vast potential for further development. It is unusual to spend an entire climbing trip on a boat, but then it is unusual to do over 40 new routes without using a rope.
For experienced climbers, there are also many opportunities to deep water solo in the area. Although the sport is just taking off here in this area of Vietnam, climbers are already dubbing Halong Bay as one of the best places on earth for deep water soloing.
Visiting Floating Villages


Floating villages are unique feature about culture and seascape on Halong Bay that draw the attraction of visitors. Visiting floating villages, tourists will have time interacting with friendly fishermen and visiting floating pearl farms.
Cruising


Visiting the most famous Vietnamese World Heritage Site by cruises is bound to be one of the highlights of your travel itinerary in Vietnam. Cruising is the best way to explore and feel attraction of Halong Bay. You could see drowned karst landscape that has been elevated and eroded over millions of years to create thousands of smaller mountains.
Squid Fishing


Squid fishing on Halong Bay at night is an interesting activity which tourists can experience the feeling of being a fisherman. Tourists will have the instruction from local fishermen about how to fish a squid in the sea.
Night Squid fishing is the most interesting activity of the night journey on Halong Bay. Tourists are provided with fishing rods and racquets so that they can actively use them to catch squids. Tourists will be thrilled to clearly see light-drunken shoals of squids lazily hovering around; and, step by step each squid is enticed and picked up, remaining totally fresh and striving convulsively. Especially, during the squid season, it would be common to see large shoals of squids surrounding the cruiser and each tourist may catch an average of 30 squids for each squid fishing night.
Helicopter Tour


Halong Bay Helicopter tour (also called air-taxi) is a new tourism service that has been provided since August 2008. Taking part in a helicopter tour, tourists can visit famous sightseeing of Halong Bay in just 45 minutes on the sky.
