The British-inspired Mods Café near Jonker Street doubles up as a micro-roaster. Baristas lightly roast beans over charcoal before serving the drinks out of the back of a vintage Volkswagen bus. Order a drip coffee or strong espresso to start a day of sightseeing. And if you want to geek up on the roasting process or order something special, speak with the chatty baristas.

Located inside a co-founder's mother's souvenir shop, the idea took some convincing before it finally realized. Founded by two ex-students from Australia, the duo decided to bring Austalia's coffee culture back to their hometown in Malacca.
The design of the cafe itself is beautiful. There is particularly one wall that often appears on countless social media platforms, which is the one that has vintage antique plates plastered all over. Besides gorge interior, coffee here is Aussie-inspired. The cafe also puts in a local twist into their menu such as Pandan Pancakes with Gula Melaka.
Owl's Café
Located at the first floor of a new building, the entrance to Owl’s Cafe may be easily missed. An ideal choice for consideration when you are here would be the Signature Owl’s Coffee. This cup of coffee comes with chocolate-imprinted owl latte art and the topping promotes a subtle flavor with just the right amount of sweetness to compliment the coffee.
